Fuzhou City, referred to as "Rong", is also known as Rongcheng. It was called Mindu in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, China, and is the capital of Fujian Province. Fuzhou is a national historical and cultural city with a history of more than 2,200 years. 1. Three Lanes and Seven Alleys
The Three Lanes and Seven Alleys Tourist Area is located in Gulou District, Fuzhou. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction with a planned area of 39.8 hectares. It is named because it still retains the ancient urban lifang pattern of "three lanes in the west, seven alleys in the east, and a central axis in the north and south". It originated in the Jin Dynasty and formed in the Tang Dynasty. It reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and its basic style has been preserved to this day. The street is connected by lanes and alleys, with white walls and black tiles. It is known as the "living fossil of the lifang system, the Ming and Qing architectural museum, and the gathering place of modern celebrities."
2. Drum Mountain
Drum Mountain is located in the eastern part of Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, and on the north bank of the Minjiang River. It is a famous scenic spot in Fuzhou and is known as the "urban green lung" of Fuzhou. Drum Mountain Tourist Area consists of more than a dozen peaks and is divided into six major scenic areas: Drum Mountain, Guling, Eel Creek, Mo Creek, Fengchi Baiyun Cave and Nanyang An'an Creek. There are more than 260 scenic spots and historical sites with a total area of 49.7 square kilometers. Drum Mountain is named because its shape resembles a drum. The mountain is lush with trees and the air is fresh. There are different scenery in each season.
3. Fuzhou National Forest Park
Fuzhou National Forest Park (Fuzhou Botanical Garden), located at No. 480, Fufei North Road, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It was built in 1959 and has a total area of 5,743.83 hectares, with a core park area of 846.93 hectares. Fuzhou Botanical Garden is a treasure trove of ecological resources and is known as a natural "oxygen bar" and "the lungs of Fuzhou".
4. Fuzhou West Lake Park
Fuzhou West Lake Park is located in Gulou District, Fuzhou City. It has a history of more than 1,700 years. It is the most complete classical garden in Fuzhou. It is known as the "Pearl of Fujian Gardens". It ranks among the top 36 West Lakes in the country and is a national 3A-level tourist attraction. The total area of the park is 46.48 hectares, of which the lake area is 29.21 hectares. West Lake Park is a typical classical garden with a "one pond and three mountains" layout.
5. Yushan
Yushan is located in the southeast corner of Gulou District, the center of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is also known as Jiuxian Mountain and Jiuri Mountain. It is said that a branch of the ancient ethnic group "Yuyue" lived here during the Warring States Period and got its name. Yushan is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a well-known tourist attraction in the city center. It has many historical sites and natural landscapes such as Qigong Temple, White Pagoda, Zhuangyuan Peak, Orchid Garden, and Lion Rock.
6. Xichan Temple
Xichan Temple, formerly known as Changqing Temple, is located in the southwest of Gongye Road, Hongshan Town, Gulou District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, at the foot of Yishan Mountain, near Fuzhou University. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty and was repeatedly rebuilt and destroyed in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties. In the old days, there were Zen temples in the four suburbs of Fuzhou, and Changqing Temple was in the western suburbs, so it was commonly known as "Xichan Temple". It now covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters.
7. Yantai Hill
Yantai Hill Scenic Area is the landmark scenic area of Yantai. It is located at the northern end of Yantai City, covers an area of 45 hectares, and was developed from Yantai Hill Park. Yantai Hill Scenic Area is surrounded by the sea on three sides. It is a unique landscape integrating mountains, sea, city and port, which combines coastal natural scenery, port culture, cultural relics, human natural landscape and exotic customs. It condenses the vicissitudes of Yantai's history of more than 600 years and is an important birthplace and symbol of Yantai history.
8. Haitan island
Haitan Island, also known as Pingtan Island and Haishan, is located in Pingtan County, southeast of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It borders the Taiwan Strait to the east and faces Changle and Fuqing across the Haitan Strait to the west. It is 30 kilometers long from north to south and about 19 kilometers wide from east to west, with an area of 274.33 square kilometers. It is the largest island in Fujian Province and the fifth largest island in China. There are not only blue sea and blue sky, golden beaches, but also unique reef landscapes and rich marine ecology.
9. Yongtai Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area
Yongtai Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area, located in Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area, Linglu Township, Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction with a total area of 52.5 square kilometers. Yongtai Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area has a total of 4 scenic areas (Yuntian Stone Corridor Scenic Area, Qinglong Waterfall Scenic Area, Baima Canyon Scenic Area, and Water Curtain Palace Scenic Area). It is an ecological tourism area integrating canyons, forests, waterfalls, ancient craters, alpine pastures and bird nature reserves.
10. Fujian Museum
Fujian Museum is located in Gulou District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is one of the first national first-class museums and public welfare institutions. It has 13 departments including the Collection Department, Exhibition Department, Social Education Department, Information Department, and Natural Department. It covers an area of about 90 acres, with a construction area of about 36,000 square meters and an exhibition hall area of about 12,000 square meters. It has more than 210,000 cultural relics and specimens of various types, including nearly 40,000 precious cultural relics. It has established basic exhibitions such as "The Light of Ancient Fujian Civilization", "Tracing Fujian Traces - Fujian Archaeological Achievements Exhibition", "Blue Minhai", and "Dinosaur World".
