Guiyang City, referred to as "Zhu", also known as Lincheng and Zhucheng, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, and Type I large city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is located in the central part of Guizhou Province, bordering Zunyi City and Bijie City in the north and west respectively, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the east and south, and Anshun City in the southwest. It has a total area of 8,043 square kilometers. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of Guizhou Province and an important transportation hub in the southwest.

1. Qingyan Ancient Town
Qingyan Ancient Town, located in the southern part of Huaxi District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is one of the four ancient towns in Guizhou. Qingyan Ancient Town was built in the 11th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1378) and has a history of more than 600 years. It is known as the "Southern Fortress" and the "Southern Gateway". The ancient buildings in the ancient town are mainly concentrated in the ancient city area. They are mainly in the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, mostly in the form of quadrangle courtyards and three-courtyard courtyards, with distinct local characteristics.
2. Qianlingshan Park
Qianlingshan Park is located at No. 187 Zaoshan Road, Yunyan District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It was built in 1957 and is a comprehensive park integrating natural scenery, cultural relics, folk customs and entertainment and leisure. Qianlingshan Park covers an area of 426 hectares. It is named after Qianling Mountain, which is known as the "No. 1 Mountain in Southern Guizhou". It integrates mountains, forests, springs, lakes, caves, temples and animals. It is known as "noble in the city, beautiful in nature".
3. Jiaxiu Pavilion
Jiaxiu Pavilion, located at No. 8 Cuiwei Lane, Nanming District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is located on the Nanming River. It was first built in the 26th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1598). It was built on a huge stone in the river. It has been renovated many times over the years. The existing building is the remains of the reconstruction in the first year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1909). Jiaxiu Pavilion has a history of more than 400 years since its construction, and has undergone six large-scale renovations. After four hundred years of wind and rain, it still stands tall, which is a witness to the history of Guiyang and a cultural landmark of Guiyang City.
4. Huaxi Yelang Valley
Huaxi Yelang Valley is located in Huaxi District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, covering an area of more than 200 acres. It is a tourist attraction with the theme of Yelang culture. Doupeng Mountain, which is opposite to Huaxi Yelang Valley, is said to have been the residence of Jinzhusi, the successor of the Yelang Queen. The ruins of the ancient Yelang Tunbao are still preserved on the top of the mountain, which is why Huaxi Yelang Valley got its name. There are palaces, temples and houses rebuilt in the ancient Yelang architectural style in the scenic area. These buildings are cleverly constructed using local stone and waste pottery, showing the unique charm of Yelang culture and incorporating elements of modern art.
5. Nanjiang Gorge
Nanjiang Gorge is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction located in the suburbs of Guiyang City, only 45 kilometers away from the center of Guiyang City and 20 kilometers away from Kaiyang County. It has good location advantages, beautiful scenery, typical karst geological landforms, good vegetation protection, and a forest coverage rate of more than 95%. The annual average temperature in the scenic area is 15.4℃, the climate is cool, the air is fresh, there is no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer, it is the best destination for summer vacation.
6. Tianhetan
Tianhetan Scenic Area is located in Shiban Town, Huaxi District, Guiyang City, 24 kilometers away from Guiyang City. It combines the majesty of Huangguoshu Waterfall, the wonder of Dragon Palace and the beauty of Huaxi. It combines waterfalls, clear springs, deep pools, strange rocks, strange caves and natural stone bridges in one, which is a natural formation. Tianhetan was originally named Tiansheng Bridge, named after the Ludi River formed a deep vertical well through the dark lake and flowed out through the natural stone bridge.
7. Hongfeng Lake
Hongfeng Lake is located in the western suburbs of Guiyang City, 28 kilometers away from the provincial capital Guiyang. It is the first stop of Guizhou's western golden tourism. The scenic area covers an area of 200 square kilometers. It is a national scenic spot and a national AAAA-level tourist area that integrates the plateau lakes and mountains, karst landforms, and ethnic customs. There is a Hongfeng Ridge by the lake, and there are many liquidambar trees on the ridge and around the lake. In late autumn, the maple leaves are as red as fire, and the red leaves are blue and the scenery is beautiful, so it is named "Hongfeng Lake".
8. Huaxi Park
The prototype of Huaxi Park began in 1787 (the 52nd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty) by the father and son of Zhou Kui, a successful candidate in the imperial examination. Construction of the park began in 1937, and the construction of the scenic area was officially started in 1939 with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Government. It was basically completed in 1940 and was then called "Zhongzheng Park". After the founding of New China in 1949, it was officially renamed "Huaxi Park". Huaxi Park integrates real mountains and waters, rural scenery, and ethnic customs. It is a famous scenic spot in Guizhou Province and is known as the Pearl of the Guizhou Plateau.
9. Wenchang Pavilion
Wenchang Pavilion, a landmark building in Guiyang, was built in the 24th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1596). This is an ancient wooden building complex with Wenchang Pavilion as the main body, which is simple, elegant and dignified. The main building, Wenchang Pavilion, has a unique shape and a peculiar structure, which is unique in China. It has great artistic and scientific research value, and has attracted the attention of architectural experts and praised by Chinese and foreign tourists. It was originally a place to worship Emperor Wenchang, and is now a provincial key cultural relic protection unit.
10. Guizhou Provincial Museum
Guizhou Provincial Museum is a comprehensive museum located on the north side of the middle section of Lincheng East Road, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City. The project was approved in 2007, construction started in 2010, relocated on June 28, 2013, and opened to the public for trial operation in early 2015. The total number of collections in Guizhou Provincial Museum is more than 80,000 pieces, including ethnic cultural relics, Guizhou paleontological fossils, Paleolithic unearthed cultural relics, and various cultural relics reflecting local history, humanity and cultural diversity. Among them, the Chinese Miao costumes and silver jewelry of the Chinese Miao are ranked first in the country.
