  Bangkok, also known as the "City of Angels", is located in central Thailand. It is the capital and largest city of Thailand, a world-class city, the happiest economy in the world, and the second largest city in Southeast Asia.   1. The Grand Palace

  The Grand Palace is Thailand's most famous landmark, located in the heart of Bangkok. It consists of a group of buildings with a staggered layout, bringing together the essence of painting, sculpture and decorative arts. This magnificent palace was built in 1782 and completed in 1785. Since its completion, the Grand Palace has been the residence of the Thai royal family for 150 years, and is still used to hold important ceremonies and receive heads of state.

  2. Wat Phra Kaew

  The Wat Phra Kaew is located in the northeast corner of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the most famous Buddhist temple in Thailand and one of the three national treasures of Thailand. The Wat Phra Kaew is the most sacred place in Thai Buddhism. It is the guardian temple and protector temple of the Chakri Dynasty. Built in 1782, the Wat Phra Kaew is part of the Grand Palace of Thailand and occupies an area of about one-quarter of the Grand Palace. The Wat Phra Kaew is a place where the Thai royal family worships the Emerald Buddha statue and holds religious ceremonies. It is named after the Emerald Buddha enshrined in the temple.

  3. Wat Pho

  Wat Pho, located in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand, was built in 1793 during the Ayutthaya Dynasty, covering an area of 80,000 square meters. The reclining Buddha is the largest in the world, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, with the soles of each foot up to 5 meters long, engraved with 108 Buddha images. It is known as the "first university in Thailand" and also provides English tour guides and authentic Thai massage.

  4. Chao Phraya River

  The Chao Phraya River is Thailand's largest river, running from north to south across the country. While the typical dinner cruises and charming ferry rides are enough to make you visit here, its picturesque beauty and spectacular architectural backdrop make it one of the best places to visit in Bangkok.

  5. Chatuchak Weekend Market

  Chatuchak Weekend Market is Bangkok’s most famous market and one of the largest open-air markets in the world. It is a bohemian paradise where all your shopping dreams can come true. From unique artworks to traditional handicrafts, Chatuchak Weekend Market has it all.

  6. Khao San Road

  Khao San Road is one of Bangkok’s most famous backpacker district. It’s a short street, constructed in 1892 and is famously known for crazy parties and nightlives. Here, you will find the place jam-packed with guesthouses, food stalls, cloth stores, and travelers from all around the globe. Khao San Road is also one of Thailand’s most popular destinations for foreign tourists at Songkran.

  7. Wat Arun

  Wat Arun is a magnificent white temple located at the western end of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of Bangkok's most popular tourist attractions. Wat Arun has five towers that can be seen from the river and are covered in porcelain and tiles. Visitors can choose to take a boat or ferry to the temple, which will give them some insight into the history of the Chao Phraya River.

  8. Yaowarat Road

  Yaowarat Road, Thailand's Chinatown, is a street with a century-old history. It used to be as radiant as a ruby inlaid in the "City of Angels". Although Yaowarat is not the most prosperous commercial district in Thailand today, it has its own unique cultural style. It records a period of history of Thai Chinese living in Bangkok.

  9. Jim Thompson House

  Jim Thompson was originally an American architect. After World War II, he successfully promoted Thai silk to the Western market and revitalized Thailand's silk industry. Jim Thompson House was built in 1959 and consists of 7 traditional Thai teak buildings with Thai gardens. It has been well preserved to this day.

  10. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

  Madame Tussauds is the 10th Madame Tussauds museum around the world, and it allows you to stand with wax sculptures of international celebrities, leaders of state, sports figures, great artists, and even monarchs. It contains a collection of about 70 wax figures of renowned people like Madonna, Beethoven, Princess Diana, and Michael Jackson, famous cinema stars, as well as some Thai notable people, divided into 10 divisions as Red Carpet, TV,  Art & Science,  Music, History, Leaders, Film, Leaders, and Sports.
