1. Hamburg Town Hall

2. Elbphilharmonie
Opened in 2017, the Elbphilharmonie is a striking work of modern architecture on the banks of the Elbe River in Hamburg. Standing over 100 meters tall, the Elbphilharmonie incorporates Hamburg's maritime history into its design, which has been likened to waves and sails. Since its opening, the Elbphilharmonie has become an architectural and cultural landmark in Hamburg, symbolizing the spirit of the city of music and is considered one of the largest and most beautiful concert halls in the world.
3. Speicherstadt
Built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Speicherstadt is the world's largest complex of warehouses, with its brightly coloured red bricks and neo-Gothic architecture giving these incredible, massive buildings much of their character. Speicherstadt is Hamburg's landmark and one of the main attractions on the Speicherstadt and Harbour Tour, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the embodiment of Hamburg's rise and one of its most beautiful sights today!
4. Miniatur Wunderland
Opened in 2001, Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg holds the Guinness World Record for the world's largest model railway. This massive landmark is one of Germany's most popular tourist attractions, covering a whopping 2,300 square meters and featuring more than 1,000 trains, as well as countless model airplanes, cruise ships and other vehicles.
5. Hamburger Kunsthalle
The Hamburger Kunsthalle was built in 1869 and has been expanded twice. It is now one of the largest museums in Germany. The Hamburger Kunsthalle mainly collects paintings from Hamburg in the 14th century, paintings by Dutch and Flemish artists in the 16th and 17th centuries, paintings from France and Germany in the 19th century, and contemporary art. The museum also hosts a series of special exhibitions, ranging from sculptures to abstract art to installation art.
6. International Maritime Museum
The International Maritime Museum is a great place to learn about Hamburg's rich maritime history and all things sea-related. The museum is located in the city's oldest warehouse, a huge red brick historic building in HafenCity. The fascinating exhibits on display cover more than 3,000 years of humanity's connection with the water. The oldest artifact on display is a canoe that was dug out of a tree trunk thousands of years ago and salvaged from the Elbe River.
7. St. Michael's Church
One of Hamburg's most beautiful tourist attractions, St. Michaelis Church is an important church in the city with stunning Baroque architecture that was built in the 17th century. The church was renovated three times between 1647 and 1912 and is still considered the most impressive building in the city. One of the most worthwhile things to do when visiting this Catholic church is to climb the 132-meter-high tower, whose observation deck offers a stunning panoramic view of the city and the port.
8. Port of Hamburg
The Port of Hamburg is located on the right bank of the lower Elbe River in northern Germany. It was founded in 1189 and is the largest port in Germany and the second largest container port in Europe. The Port of Hamburg, also known as the "HafenCity", covers an area of 100 square kilometers and is the gateway to Germany. It is also the most popular tourist attraction in Hamburg. In the summer evenings and weekends, it is full of leisurely local residents.
9. Fischmarkt Hamburg
The Fischmarkt Hamburg is legendary and a must-see when visiting Hamburg. Since 1703, almost everything that is not identified has been traded at the most traditional market, which is over 100 years old, opposite the fish auction hall. The Fish Market is more than just a place to buy fish, it is a meeting place for people of all ages, offering fresh fish as well as a variety of other goods, including fruit, vegetables, flowers, handicrafts and souvenirs.
10. Reeperbahn
The Reeperbahn is the heart of Hamburg's nightlife and Germany's largest red-light district, with nightclubs, bars and restaurants all around, giving the city an exciting nightlife.
