  Hanshan Temple is located in the western suburbs of Suzhou. It has a history of more than 1,400 years. It is famous for the line "Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the bell rings at midnight to the passenger ship" in the famous poem "Night Mooring at Maple Bridge" by Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Ji. Hanshan Temple is a famous place for praying for blessings. Every day, believers come to the temple to ring the bell and pray for peace.

  1. Opening hours

  The opening hours of Hanshan Temple vary according to the season. Generally speaking, the opening hours are from 07:30 to 17:00. During certain periods, such as January 1 to January 31, the opening hours may be adjusted to 08:00 to 17:00, and from February 3 to February 5, it may be extended to 06:00 to 18:00.   2. Ticket price

  The ticket price of Hanshan Temple is 20 yuan/person. Children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) or under 1.4 meters (including 1.4 meters) in height can be exempted from admission with valid ID cards. In addition, active military personnel, retired military cadres, and clergy and staff related to religious venues can also enjoy the free ticket policy. For minors aged 6 (not including 6 years old) to 18 (including 18 years old), full-time university undergraduates and below, and seniors aged 60 (including 60 years old) to 70 (excluding 70 years old), half-price discounts are implemented.

  3. Tour route

  It is recommended to enter and visit from the west gate, so that you can not only visit all the attractions in order, but also quickly reach the Fengqiao Scenic Area in the end. The main attractions include the Four Heavenly Kings Hall, the Great Hall, the Hanshi Spring, the Wenzhong Pavilion, the Bell Tower, the Hehe Zuting, the Puming Pagoda, the Guanyin Peak, etc. Among them, around the Puming Pagoda, you can observe the "Night Mooring at Fengqiao" copied by major calligraphers, and the koi are also fed there. The price of feed is 10 yuan per bag.

  There is a vegetarian restaurant in Hanshan Temple, which provides a variety of vegetarian noodles, such as pickled bamboo shoot noodles, auspicious assorted noodles, Guanyin blessing noodles, etc., as well as handmade flower cakes and cool sweet drinks. In addition, tourists can also participate in activities such as ringing the bell for blessings (5 yuan/3 times) and feeding koi (10 yuan/bag). Every year on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, Hanshan Temple will also hold a bell ringing ceremony, with a total of 108 rings, which means "listen to the bell, troubles are light, wisdom grows", to welcome good luck in the new year.
