  Chongqing, referred to as "Yu", also known as Mountain City and River City, is a municipality directly under the Central Government of the People's Republic of China, a national central city, a megacity, one of the important national central cities approved by the State Council, an economic center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, an international consumer center, a national advanced manufacturing base, a western financial center, a western science and technology innovation center, an international comprehensive transportation hub city and a gateway to the outside world.

  Chongqing is not only the world's largest mountain and water city, but also a famous historical and cultural city in China, and the "hot spring capital" of the world and China. It is rich in natural and cultural tourism resources, mainly urban tourism resources represented by super-large mountain and water cities.

  Main attractions:

  1. Monument to the people's Liberation

  The Monument to the Victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the People's Liberation Monument, referred to as "the Jiefangbei", is located in the center of the Jiefangbei Commercial Pedestrian Street in Yuzhong District, Chongqing City, the People's Republic of China. Construction began on October 31, 1946 and was completed in August 1947. It is a spiritual symbol of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the only monument in China commemorating the victory of the Chinese nation's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

  2. Hong Ya Dong

  Hong Ya Dong, whose full name is Hongyadong Folk Customs Area, is located at No. 88, Jialingjiang Binjiang Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing City. It is located in the riverside area where the Yangtze River and Jialing River meet. Hong Ya Dong is a tourist area with sightseeing, leisure and vacation functions. It covers a total area of 31,500 square meters. The scenic area is about 50 meters long and has a total of 11 floors.

  3. Ciqikou Ancient Town

  Located in the suburb of Chongqing City, covering an area of 1.18 square kilometers, Ciqikou Old Town is a historic Chinese old town with traditional style buildings and local flavor food. The old town was built in 998 during the Song Dynasty. The town’s name, Ciqikou, means porcelain harbor, and the community prospered from the porcelain trade. Today it offers a glimpse of the peaceful laid-back life in the Sichuan countryside and is somewhere to take a break from the busy commercial world of Chongqing.

  4. Zhazidong

  The Zhazidong Concentration Camp is located at the foot of Gele Mountain in Chongqing, 2.5 kilometers away from Baigongguan. Zhazidong was originally a small coal mine where coal was mined manually, and it got its name because there was more slag than coal. In 1938, it was transformed into a secret prison for imprisoning revolutionaries, witnessing a tragic period in China's modern history.

  5. Jinfo Mountain

  Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area is located in the south of Nanchuan City on the southern edge of Chongqing. Jinfo Mountain, also known as Jinshan, was called Jiudi Mountain in ancient times. It is located at the northern end of Dalou Mountain Range. The main peak Fengchuiling is the highest peak in Dalou Mountain Range, with an altitude of 2,238.2 meters. Jinfo Mountain is located near the mysterious 30 degrees north latitude with Mount Everest, Mayan civilization, and the ancient Egyptian pyramids. It has three wonders: karst world natural heritage, biodiversity, and Buddhist culture.

  6. Chongqing zoo

  Chongqing Zoo, formerly known as West District Park, is located at No. 1, Xijiao Village 1, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It was first opened in January 1955 and covers an area of 43.5 hectares. It receives nearly 3.6 million Chinese and foreign tourists annually. It is a large urban zoo integrating science popularization, animal protection, scientific research, leisure and entertainment. It is also the zoo with the largest number of giant pandas.

  7. Dazu Rock Carvings

  Dazu Rock Carvings are located in Dazu District, Chongqing. They are the general name for 141 cliff carvings in Dazu District. Among them, the national-level ones include Baoding Mountain, Beishan (including Duobao Pagoda), Nanshan, Shimen Mountain, Shizhuan Mountain, Miaogao Mountain, and Shucheng Rock; the municipal-level ones include Jianshanzi, Qianfo Rock, Fengshan Temple, Shengshui Temple, Chenjia Rock, and Pusheng Temple; the district-level ones include Banchanggou and 61 others. There are about 50,000 statues, mainly Buddhist, followed by Taoism. The carving types are mainly high and shallow reliefs, a few round carvings, and very few incised lines.

  8. Fengdu Ghost City

  Fengdu Ghost City, formerly known as Fengdu Ghost City, was the ancient "Bazi Second Capital". It was established as a county in the second year of Yongyuan of Emperor He of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It has a history of nearly 2,000 years. It is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River in Fengdu County, downstream of Chongqing City, across the river from the new county of Fengdu, with an area of 0.45 square kilometers. Fengdu Ghost City is not only a tourist attraction, but also a treasure house of folk culture and art that integrates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. It is known as the "capital of the ghost country" and the "hell", and is the final resting place of human souls.

  9. Yangtze River Cableway

  Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway was built in 1986. It is the first large-scale passenger cableway across the Yangtze River designed and manufactured by China. The Yangtze River Cableway is now a national 4A-level tourist attraction, Chongqing urban tourism aerial sightseeing attraction, and a cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing. The Yangtze River Cableway has not only won the title of "the first cableway on the Yangtze River and the first stop for Chongqing tourism", but also won the unexpected praise of "the mountain city in the daytime and the sea of lights at night; if you don't take the cableway, it's a waste of your trip to Chongqing".

  10. Three Natural Bridges

  The Three Natural Bridges are located in Wulong County, Chongqing, in the south of Fairy Mountain, between Fairy Mountain and Wulong County. The natural stone bridges in the scenic area are magnificent, with lush forests, flowing springs and waterfalls. It encompasses mountains, water, fog, springs, gorges, peaks, streams and waterfalls. It is a high-quality ecological tourism area. The Three Natural Bridges consists of three magnificent stone arch bridges, namely Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge and Heilong Bridge, and is the largest natural bridge group in Asia.
