The Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel, also known as the Tianjin Yongle Bridge Ferris Wheel, is located on the Yongle Bridge at the intersection of Ligongci Street and Wuma Road in Hebei District, Tianjin. It crosses the Haihe River to connect Hebei District and Hongqiao District. It is a Ferris wheel that crosses the river and combines the functions of bridge and wheel, and has both sightseeing and transportation functions. The Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel is the only Ferris wheel built on a bridge in Asia and is one of the landmarks of Tianjin.

　　1. Building structure - tower frame

　　The tower frame of Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel is built on both sides of Baiziya River, with a root distance of 125.4 meters. As the supporting structure of the wheel disc, it bears the force and bending moment transmitted by the wheel disc. The components adopt box-type cross-section. From the side elevation, the three-limb components of the tower leg and tower column are in the same inclined space plane with an angle of 9.624 degrees with the vertical plane. The crossbeam (main axis) at the top of the tower column is placed horizontally along the horizontal bridge direction. The working principle is similar to a large portal frame. From the front elevation, the tower frame and tower leg are The tower is at an angle of 120 degrees with the tower column. A stabilizing cable is set between the top of the tower column and the bottom of the tower leg to stabilize the entire tower in the plane. The tower leg is at an angle of 30 degrees with the horizontal plane. Under the vertical load, the tower foot foundation bears a large horizontal thrust. In order to balance the horizontal thrust of the tower leg, prestressed horizontal balancing cables are set along the bridge between the four tower feet. The balancing cables are made of two parallel steel cables and hidden in the horizontal beam cantilevered outside the Yongle Bridge. The tower legs are based on pile caps and are fixed at the root.

　　The rotating part of the Tianjin Eye Ferris wheel is a wheel hoop with a diameter of 110 meters. The wheel hoop adopts a triangular cross-section steel pipe truss structure. The outer chord of the wheel hoop adopts two steel pipes with a cross-section of (457×30) square millimeters, with a spacing of 3.1 meters; the inner chord adopts a steel pipe with a cross-section of (530×30) square millimeters; the wheel hoop and the slewing bearing are connected by 48 radial cables arranged alternately; 16 tangential cables along the tangential direction of the slewing bearing are arranged on the wheel hoop to drive the Ferris wheel; the wheel hoop is supported on the main shaft through the slewing bearing.

　　3. Building structure - main shaft and node

　　The main shaft of the Tianjin Eye Ferris wheel adopts a steel pipe with a cross-section of (2800×60) square millimeters and is installed at an altitude of 65 meters; the connection node between the main shaft and the herringbone tower adopts a flange connection form, and flanges are installed at both ends of the herringbone tower and the main shaft. After the main shaft is installed in place, it is connected with high-strength bolts. The inner chord cable node of the Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel is 590 mm long, 345 mm wide and 350 mm high. The cable tension is transmitted to the inner chord through two 40 mm thick steel plates, and Q345 steel is used; the cable adopts cold-cast head anchors, and the fixing nuts are installed on the lower cover of the node; longitudinal and transverse stiffening ribs are arranged inside the node to transmit tension; four bolt holes with a diameter of 54 mm are arranged on the lower cover of the node as prestressed tensioning tooling holes.
