The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Emperor Qinshihuang is a site museum built on the original site of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit based on the Qin Shihuang Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is also the largest ancient military museum in China.
1. Ticket purchase method
It is recommended to make an appointment for ticket purchase in advance on the WeChat official account of the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum to avoid queuing on site.
2. Transportation route
From Xi'an, you can take Metro Line 1 to Textile City, then transfer to Line 9 to Huaqing Hot Spring, and take Lintong Tour Bus No. 613 after exiting the subway, and you can reach Terracotta Warriors and Horses No. 9 in one stop. In addition, it is about 35 kilometers away from the urban area of Xi'an, and you can take the Tour 5 Special Line (Route 306), Route 915, and Route 914 at the East Square of Xi'an Railway Station to arrive. It is about 10 kilometers away from Lintong District and can be reached by operating vehicles such as Route 915, Route 914, and Route 101.
3. Visiting time
The Emperor Qinshihuangs Mausoleum Site Park consists of the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Emperor Qinshihuang and the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Site Park (Lishan Park). It takes about 1.5 hours to visit both places, so it is generally recommended that you arrange about 4 hours for the most appropriate time.
4. Other information
The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Emperor Qinshihuang has three terracotta warrior pits, namely, No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, which are buried with a large number of pottery figurines, pottery horses, bronze weapons, etc. Pit No. 1 is a main military formation with chariots and infantry, with a total area of 14,260 square meters and about 6,000 life-size pottery figurines. Pit No. 2 is the essence of the Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit, with an area of 6,000 square meters and composed of four units. The four square formations are composed of chariots, cavalry, and crossbowmen, which are strictly orderly and impeccable. Pit No. 3 is the command system of the military formation, with an area of 524 square meters.
