Lingyan Temple is a famous Buddhist temple in China and abroad. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been called the "Four Famous Temples in China" together with Zhejiang Guoqing Temple, Nanjing Qixia Temple, and Hubei Yuquan Temple, and is ranked first. It is said that "If you visit Mount Tai without visiting Lingyan, your trip is not complete." It was first built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,600 years. It is located in Wande Town, Changqing District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is famous for its long religious history and profound cultural connotations. It is surrounded by mountains, with steep cliffs; cypress and sandalwood are stacked, springs are sweet and tea is fragrant; there are many ancient monuments and Buddhist music.

    Free discount objects: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters (inclusive) in height are free of charge. Minors aged 6-18 and full-time undergraduates and below can enjoy half-price discounts with valid certificates. Elderly people aged 60 years old (inclusive) and above, active military personnel, retired military cadres, and disabled people (severely disabled people include one accompanying person) can enjoy free tickets with valid certificates.

    08:30-17:00 Spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit Lingyan Temple, when the temperature is suitable and the scenery is beautiful.

    4. Transportation

    Take a tourist bus in Changqing District, Jinan City to Lingyan Temple directly (free rides are available for full-price tickets).

    You can also take Jinan City Tour Bus No. 60 to Lingyan Temple Tourist Area directly (free rides are available for full-price tickets).

    Take a special bus at Jinan Long-distance Bus Terminal, departing at 8:00 am and returning at 15:30 pm; or take a special bus at Jinan Passenger Transport Hengsheng Company (North of Jiefang Bridge), departing at 8:00 am and returning at 15:30 pm.

    In the peak season, there are tourist special buses that go directly to Lingyan Temple. The boarding points are: Carrefour, Quancheng Square, Provincial Sports Center, and the Fifth Hospital. They return at 3 pm, and one seat per person.

    Self-driving route: Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway - Wande Exit - Go north along National Highway 104 for about 200 meters - Go east along the scenic area sign at Lingyan Square for about 9 kilometers - Lingyan Temple, about 10 minutes drive after getting off the expressway.
