Nanchang Star Observation Wheel, also known as Nanchang Star, is located in Ganjiang Citizen Park on the bank of Ganjiang River in Hongjiaozhou, Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is 160 meters high and is a landmark building in Nanchang City. Nanchang Star Ferris Wheel was designed by the Shanghai Branch of the National Coal Research Institute. The wheel surface lights are composed of six or seven thousand LED semiconductor lighting devices. Construction began in 2005 and was completed in 2006. The Ferris wheel is the third tallest Ferris wheel in the world. It has a total of 60 transparent sightseeing cars, each of which can accommodate 8 tourists. The entire Ferris wheel runs for 30 minutes.
