The Monument to the Victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the People's Liberation Monument, referred to as "the Monument to the people's Liberation", is located in the center of the Monument to the people's Liberation Commercial Pedestrian Street in Yuzhong District, Chongqing City, the People's Republic of China. Construction began on October 31, 1946 and was completed in August 1947. It is a spiritual symbol of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the only monument in China commemorating the victory of the Chinese nation's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
