Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Travel Guide: Sun Yat-sen's Tomb

    The memorial archway of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, also known as the Boai Archway, is the entrance to the south end of the tomb passage. Visitors who visit the mausoleum must pass through here. There are many memorial buildings in the scenic area, such as the Music Stage, Xingjian Pavilion, Guanghua Pavilion, Liuhui Pavilion, and Sutra Library, which are worth visiting. The mausoleum needs to be booked in advance for admission. It is recommended to book tickets more than one day in advance. You can also buy a package ticket for sightseeing. There are sightseeing buses in the scenic area.

    1. Opening hours

    The opening hours of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum are 8:30-17:00 every day, and it is closed for maintenance every Monday (except statutory holidays and the birthday and death anniversaries of Mr. Sun Yat-sen). The tomb is open from Tuesday to Friday (except statutory holidays) and is open on the birthday and death anniversaries of Mr. Sun Yat-sen.

    2. Transportation route

    Public transportation: Take Metro Line 2 to Zhonghuamen Station, and transfer to Bus No. 1 or No. 3 to reach the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Area. You can also take a tourist bus to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum at Nanjing Railway Station, Nanjing South Railway Station, Nanjing Lukou Airport, etc.

    Self-driving tour: If you drive to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, please note that there are clear vehicle restrictions and routes. There is a free parking lot in the scenic area, where you can park and walk into the scenic area.

    Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Museum: After entering the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Area, you can first visit the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Museum to learn about the life and revolutionary history of Mr. Sun Yat-sen.

    Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum: Then you can walk to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum to visit, understand Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s thoughts, doctrines and policies, and feel the grandeur of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.

    Sacrifice Hall: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Sacrifice Hall is an important part of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. It is a place to display Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s ideological heritage, political status, historical image and eternal spirit. You can pay homage to Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s statue here, and visit the cultural relics and photo exhibitions related to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.

    Zhongshan Garden Scenic Area: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is surrounded by beautiful landscape gardens. You can walk around, enjoy the lake and mountains, and understand the cultural connotation of Zhongshan Garden.

    Please keep quiet when visiting Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, do not make noise and play, respect the heroes, and jointly maintain the good order of the scenic area.
