Twin Towers Temple, formerly known as Yongzuo Temple, was built around the middle of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1597-1602). Because there are two tall towers in the temple, it is commonly known as Twin Towers Temple. Nowadays, locals are used to calling it Twin Towers Temple, but are unfamiliar with the original name. The architectural pattern of Twin Towers Temple is not complicated. It consists of three parts: the front yard, the back yard, and the tower yard. The famous "twin towers" are in the tower yard. The mountain gate of Twin Towers Temple is opposite to most temples that face south from north. The mountain gate of Twin Towers Temple faces north. After entering the mountain gate, tourists walk from north to south. During the tour, they can see the main hall, the stele corridor and the twin towers in turn. These three places are more worth seeing in the temple.
