Hubei Provincial Museum was planned and built in 1953. It is one of the eight national museums jointly built by the central and local governments, a national first-class museum, a key scientific research base of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage for the protection of unearthed wood and lacquerware, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It is also the largest, most abundant, and most scientifically powerful national comprehensive museum in Hubei Province.
1. Opening hours
Hubei Provincial Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, opening at 9:00, stopping admission at 16:00, closing at 17:00, and closed on Mondays (except special holidays).

3. Main exhibitions
Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng: Located on the 2nd floor, it exhibits cultural relics unearthed from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng, including precious cultural relics such as chime bells and bronze zun plates.
Chu Culture Exhibition: Displays the 800-year history of the Chu State, and exhibits cultural relics including the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue, and the Spear of Fuchai, King of Wu.
Panlongcheng: Introduces the archaeological discoveries of Panlongcheng, an early Shang Dynasty city site.
Yunxian People: Displays the skull fossils and research results of Yunxian people, an ancient human in the early Paleolithic period in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
Qin and Han Dynasty Lacquerware Art: Displays lacquerware from the Qin and Han dynasties unearthed in Hubei.
4. Special Activities
Bell Concert: Tickets need to be purchased separately, and the ticket price is 50 yuan per ticket. The performance is very popular, and it is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance.
Volunteer Interpretation: The museum provides volunteer interpretation services. It is recommended that tourists understand the interpretation time in advance so as to arrange the itinerary reasonably.
